Overview
Langdale Chase Hotel, which sits on the banks of beautiful Lake Windermere, has recently undergone a full and significant refurbishment and reopened its doors in November 2023. In that time the hotel has achieved 5 Star Status from the AA and been recognised in the prestigious Times Top 100 Places to Stay, ranked No.3 and North of England Hotel of the Year.
We are now looking to appoint Food & Beverage Team Members reporting to the Restaurant Manager to deliver a five-star standard service to our guests and ensure the delivering of the highest levels of guest experience, providing warm hospitality and impeccable service. We will happily discuss flexible working options to support with personal life, including rotas to support with school drop off and pick up.
Your day to day
- Providing a high level of warm and knowledgeable hospitality at all times to all guests
- Ensuring the implementation of high standards of food and beverage service and high levels of product quality throughout the food service period
- Working closely with the kitchen team throughout the food service regarding menu items, speciality menus and special requests
- Preparation of the department including laying tables, vacuuming carpets, sweeping floors, polishing cutlery, preparing condiments and garnishes, and preparing coffee
- Ensuring the department is set and closed down as per service requirements
- Providing effective communication with the reception and reservation teams, ensuring guest requirements are met
Who are we looking for?
You will have worked previously in a similar role and will ideally have worked in a high quality Four-Star or Five-Star hotel, or fine dining restaurant.
You will have a genuine passion for the food and drink industry. You will have exemplary guest service skills, good interpersonal skills, be warm and friendly and have the ability to work well with others to represent the Company and the hotel in a loyal, professional, and knowledgeable manner. You will have a strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task whilst working in a busy and pressurised environment.
