We’re looking for experienced Fabricator / Welders to work across our sites. Reporting to a Supervisor, our Fabricator / Welder roles are central to ensuring the structural quality, safety, and efficiency of our modular products.
SUMMARY OF ROLE:
What you’ll be doing:
- Weld steel fabricated units in line with technical drawings and specifications
- Perform high-quality MIG welding with accuracy and consistency
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, working within defined tolerances
- Operate workshop equipment including cutting, grinding, and forming tools as needed
- Ensure all welding and fabrication work adheres to internal quality procedures and relevant industry standards
- Carry out pre- and post-weld inspections to verify quality and alignment with specifications
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace in accordance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) guidelines
- Work closely with the wider production team to achieve deadlines and meet output targets
- Highlight any defects, material shortages, or deviations from specification promptly
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives within the fabrication area
What we’re looking for:
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-focused environment
- Flexibility to work shift patterns and overtime when required
- Proven experience as a welder/fabricator, preferably in structural steel or modular/off-site construction
- Competent in MIG welding and able to work on a variety of steel sections and gauges
- Good understanding of fabrication safety procedures and quality standards
- Experience working within a fast-paced, production-based environment
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication & Welding or equivalent qualification
- CSCS or CCNSG Safety Passport
- Previous experience in modular construction or off-site manufacturing or structural experience
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
