About Thursday
Thursday is the world's largest IRL dating event company, operating across the UK, Ireland, Australia, Europe, Canada, and the USA. Founded in London, we are on a mission to revolutionise the way people date, meet, and connect, moving away from digital swiping culture to real-life interactions. Our vision is to bring back authentic human connections in an era where technology has made us lonelier than ever. We also offer exciting lifestyle experiences through Thursday Clothing and Thursday Trips, extending our mission beyond dating into a true lifestyle brand.
About the Role
We’re looking for an ambitious and creative Social Media Manager to join our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for growing Thursday’s social presence across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Spotify, with a focus on storytelling, community building, and virality. This is a strategic and executional role – perfect for someone who loves to think big and also thrives in the details of content creation, scheduling, and team management. You will lead major social initiatives such as the IRL Quiz, AI Influencer launch, and upcoming Thursday Podcast, while also overseeing influencer marketing and supporting our brand’s growing host community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for Thursday’s core Instagram account and host accounts, driving follower growth, engagement, and brand visibility across key platforms.
- Own and lead social content projects including the Persona IRL quiz, Thursday’s AI Influencers, and our new Podcast, from concept to launch to cross-channel promotion.
- Manage daily execution of content plans with the support of a Social Media Executive, overseeing planning, briefing, scheduling, filming, and publishing.
- Build and optimise an influencer marketing strategy, including recruiting creators, managing partnerships, tracking performance, and ensuring brand alignment.
- Grow and maintain a consistent presence across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Spotify, tailoring content and format to each platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Growth, Partnerships) to align campaigns and creative output with broader business goals.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics to inform future strategy and creative testing.
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for Thursday’s mission, you believe in real-life connections and want to be part of building a movement.
- 2-4 years of experience in social media, content, or influencer marketing roles.
- Proven experience growing social accounts and building engaged communities, especially on TikTok and Instagram.
- Creative thinker with a strong aesthetic sense and an eye for viral potential.
- Organised and proactive, you thrive when managing multiple projects and leading a small team.
- Confident in briefing content, managing shoots, and creating content in-platform when needed.
- Strong copywriting and communication skills.
- Experience working with influencer tools/platforms and reporting dashboards.
- A finger on the pulse of culture, trends, memes, and internet behaviour.
Nice to Have
- Video editing and motion graphics skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, etc.).
- Experience launching a podcast or leading content across Spotify/YouTube.
- Understanding of paid social strategy and how organic integrates with performance marketing.
- Prior experience in a startup, lifestyle brand, or event-based company.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the voice of one of the most talked-about dating brands in the world. If you’re ready to shape culture and the future of dating, we want to hear from you.
