Thursday is building the world’s go-to platform for IRL dating and social experiences. We run events across cities globally, powered by an incredible events host network that brings the brand to life on the ground. As we continue to scale, we are looking for an Operations Manager to help lead, strengthen, and grow this function. This is a high-impact role for someone who knows how to turn strategy into execution, drive performance across distributed teams, and build the structure needed for scale.

You will be responsible for the performance, growth, and operational management of Thursday’s global host function. Our hosts run hundreds of events every month globally; this role will help build the framework to ensure we continue to scale and drive strong revenue from the events team. You will lead a team that supports host recruitment, people operations, and regional performance management, while also helping drive stronger results across cities globally. This role sits at the centre of execution, making sure our host network is performing, underperformance is addressed quickly, and regional teams have the support, clarity, and accountability needed to deliver growth.

You will report to the COO and directly manage:

  • Global Recruitment Advisor
  • Global People Advisor
  • 3 UK Regional Managers

You will also play a key leadership role across the wider teams managing hosts globally.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the day-to-day performance and operational management of the global host function
  • Drive strategic growth across cities by improving host performance, event output, and commercial results
  • Review sales and city performance data regularly to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities
  • Support underperforming hosts and cities with clear action plans, coaching, and accountability
  • Work with regional managers to improve consistency, urgency, and execution across their markets
  • Ensure strong recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of hosts as we scale
  • Build clearer operating standards, processes, and expectations across the host network
  • Partner cross-functionally with Growth, Product, Brand, Partnerships, Finance, and Support to improve city performance
  • Give the COO clear visibility on risks, performance issues, and opportunities across the host function
  • Help shape the future structure and support model for the host team as Thursday continues to grow

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience leading operational teams across multiple markets, regions, or locations
  • Strong commercial instinct and confidence working with sales or performance data
  • Proven ability to improve team performance and manage underperformance directly
  • Highly organised with strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scaling business where priorities move quickly
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Strong communicator who can create clarity, alignment, and accountability across teams
  • Experience in events, hospitality, marketplace, consumer, or other multi-site businesses is a strong advantage
