Can you support a group of 3 individuals living with learning disabilities in their own home in Stanford Le hope.

We are seeking a kind, person centred person who enables people to maintain their independence, dignity and wellbeing.

You will be required to work 1 x 24-hour shift followed by 5 days off.

Full training given in diabetes support and working for those experiencing early onset dementia; ensuring a safe healthy and good quality of life.

Experience Requirement

Essential

  • Experience supporting individuals with additional needs
  • Experience implementing care or support plans
  • Experience working in community or supported living settings

Desirable

Experience supporting people with

  • Autism
  • Epilepsy
  • Diabetes
  • Dementia
  • Other Requirements

Essential

  • Commitment to supporting independence and dignity
  • Willingness to undertake ongoing training
  • Ability to travel within the borough
  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours

  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • First Aid qualification
  • Training in medication administration
  • Knowledge of insulin administration
  • Communication skills such as Makaton or Sign Language
  • GCSE English (or equivalent)
