We are looking for a Head of Service Street Scene & Leisure. This role will be: RM203ED, Hybrid.
The right candidate will:
- Manage and develop the Domestic & Commercial Waste Collection Services and Clean & Green Services, including burials, street cleansing, arboriculture, parks and open spaces and general grounds maintenance, within budgets and ensuring that agreed standards of output are achieved and compliance with corporate priorities, legal requirements and commercial aspirations.
- Take responsibility for the procurement and management of external contractors related to all aspects of waste management and Clean & Green ensuring that the Council discharges its legal duties as a Waste Disposal Authority.
- Manage the Household Waste and Recycling Centre in line with Environmental Permitting Regulations and the site working plan, including the commercial income and re-use facilities.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and large-scale services.
- Strong strategic planning, budget management, and contract oversight experience.
- Expertise in waste management, environmental legislation, and grounds maintenance.
