Job Description

Senior Country Park Ranger / Site Manager

Salary: £44,208 – £50,424 per annum

Grade: F

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 37 Hours per Week

Are you interested in being part of a team dedicated to managing some of the most popular and important natural open spaces in Thurrock? Do you have a genuine interest in the natural environment, including its management, protection, access, and promotion?

We are currently recruiting within our Country Parks Team, primarily responsible for the operational supervision of the Ranger Team and leading the management of the spaces they oversee.

This role requires an enthusiastic individual with practical experience in managing public country parks. Your experience should include managing varied habitats, health & safety, and using tools, plant, and machinery related to environmental management.

You should also have knowledge of external funding and experience with Environmental Stewardship schemes. Public engagement and working with volunteers are also essential skills.

A valid full Driving Licence is required.
