Thurrock Council are looking to recruit a Senior Practitioner Social Worker to join Adult Social Care Services on a full-time permanent basis. Successful applicants will be joining the Hospital Hub Social Work team to facilitate safe and timely discharges. Working as part of the team, you will be assessing individuals in the acute and community hospitals. You will be working alongside health professionals to ensure the patient is safely discharged. Weekend working will also be expected.
We are looking for a Senior Practitioner with at least two years managerial experience to join this supportive and highly skilled team. You will need to be able to supervise social workers and support planners. Also, work closely with colleagues in other departments and agencies to meet the care and support needs and outcomes for our service users. You will become part of a very stable, award-winning team, where we provide the opportunity for you to grow and develop and join a very innovative and supportive service. You will need to be an excellent communicator and able to work alongside colleagues in health and voluntary organisations.
Essential Criteria:
- Social Work Degree
- Social Work England Registration
- 2 years managerial experience
