Job Title: Safeguarding & Legal Intervention Administration Assistant

Salary: £26,556 - £28,764 per annum (pro rata to hours worked as part-time)

Grade: B

Contract Type: Fixed term - 12 month

Working Hours: 21 hours per week (Wed, Thurs & Fri)

The Administrative Assistant will work within the Safeguarding & Legal Intervention team in Adult Social Care. This team involves the Adult Safeguarding, DOLS and Corporate Appointee teams.

The role will be responsible for providing high level administrative support to all three teams. This will include managing calls received to the Safeguarding team; assisting duty workers in ensuring data systems are up to date; assisting Financial Management Officers in managing service user finances; handling sensitive and highly confidential information.

Key Requirements:

  • Good knowledge and experience of key computer systems
  • Ability to collate and process financial information and record information clearly
  • Ability to solve problems and use initiative
  • Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of financial procedures and regulations
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and highly confidential information professionally
  • Experience of dealing with customers and other users of the service
  • Flexible
  • Enhanced DBS check
