The predicted salary is between 24 - 27 £ per hour.

Salary: £24.30 - £27.33 per hour, depending on grade. Subject to increase for 24/25 pay year. Grade TUTLEC 1 – 4 depending on qualifications and experience.

Permanent Contract. Hours Per Week are variable and subject to demand (as and when required) – term time only. Evening availability in addition to daytime availability is required.

Thurrock Adult Community College is the local authority’s provider of adult education for Thurrock. Our main base is in the Old Court House in Grays, but we deliver courses across the borough. We are particularly seeking tutors who have evening availability as well as being able to work during daytime hours.

You will be responsible for planning courses and lessons, creating resources, teaching lessons and marking learners' work and giving developmental feedback. Experience of teaching adults is required.

You will have level 2 qualifications in English and maths, a level 3 award in Education and Training and ideally an ESOL teaching specialism – CELTA or TESOL. If you do not have an ESOL specialist qualification, you will be expected to work towards this within your first year of employment. An enhanced DBS check with children’s barred list is required.
