Salary: £26.07 - £29.72 per hour, depending on qualifications.
Grade TUTLEC 1 – 4 depending on qualifications and experience.

Thurrock Adult Community College is the local authority’s provider of adult education for Thurrock. Our main base is in the Old Court House in Grays, but we deliver courses across the borough.
Thurrock Adult Community College are seeking an engaging and committed individual to join us as a casual tutor for English. This role is an exciting opportunity to support Thurrock residents with English to develop their confidence in speaking, reading and writing English. This is to teach Functional Skills English to learners who were taught English at school and not for ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)
You will be responsible for planning courses and lessons, creating resources, teaching lessons, and marking learners work and giving developmental feedback.
Experience of teaching adults is required.
Essential Qualifications: You will have level 2 qualifications in English and maths, a level 3 award in Education and Training and ideally an English teaching specialism – at L4 or L5. If you do not have an English specialist qualification, you will be expected to work towards this within your first year of employment.
DBS Check: An Enhanced DBS check with children’s barred list is required.
