About the Role:
Thurrock Council are looking to recruit a Senior Social Work Practitioner to join Adult Social Care Services on a full-time permanent basis. Successful applicants will be joining a Community Led Support Team that is committed to connecting individuals with their communities. As part of a CLS Team you will be working in a way that is responsive and proportionate, working with people to achieve their outcomes using their strengths and their community creativity, linking people with their communities and focusing on what matters rather than what's the matter. The team is about responsive social care support that creates opportunity for vulnerable people to come together with their community to create opportunities and outcomes, while providing support that is committed to safeguarding the most vulnerable.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a Senior Practitioner with at least two years managerial experience to join this supportive and highly skilled team. You will need to be able to supervise social workers and support planners. Also, work closely with colleagues in other departments, and agencies to meet the care and support needs, and outcomes for our service users. You will become part of a very stable, award-winning team, where we provide the opportunity for you to grow and develop and join a very innovative and supportive service. You will need to be an excellent communicator and able to work alongside colleagues in Health and Voluntary organisations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Social Work degree qualification and be registered with Social Work England (SWE).
- DBS Check Enhanced Level with Adults Barred List is required for this post.
