The Council Tax Team is responsible for administering and managing the local taxation system that helps fund essential public services. Their work ensures that households are billed accurately, payments are collected efficiently, and residents receive the support or exemptions they're entitled to.

As a Revenue Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Administration of Council Tax to ensure correct liabilities for billing purposes
  • Adhering to legislation of Council Tax to apply exemptions and/or discounts to accounts, where applicable
  • Processing of work items received via our online services and our main document management system
  • Communicating with residents to address queries and update customer accounts
