In Mid and South Essex, the demands of the Mental Health Services have significantly increased. This role is an exciting opportunity to work alongside the Mental Health Liaison Nurse based in Basildon University Hospital Emergency Department/Mental Health Urgent Care Department (MHUCD), to provide practical and emotional support to patients to better manage their mental health and wellbeing in the community.

Are you able to effectively and resiliently engage with patients experiencing emotional or mental distress through urgent and emergency care pathways, ensuring a person-centred, strength-based approach? Do you have experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and able to skilfully utilise lived experience for the benefit of others, inspiring hope, belief and recovery?
