Role Overview

Support individuals with mental health needs to access and sustain employment by working directly with primary care network teams, Talking Therapies, Care Coordinators, Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions and employment agencies. Collaborate closely with practitioners in Thurrock Community Mental Health teams, Recovery College and other specialist services to keep people in employment and secure employment opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vocational and employment support, including careers advice, job retention and employability training.
  • Remove barriers, build confidence and create opportunities for meaningful employment in individuals’ recovery journeys.
  • Work flexibly to meet service needs, including some evenings and occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing vocational and employment support.
  • Experience delivering careers advice, job retention and employability training.
  • Passion to remove barriers and support people in their recovery journey.
