About the Role

We are seeking a mental health vocational support worker to partner with primary care network teams, Talking Therapies, Care Coordinators, Jobcentre Plus, employers, trade unions, and employment agencies to keep people in employment and secure new opportunities. The role involves working closely with practitioners in the Thurrock Community Mental Health teams, Recovery College, and other specialist services providing support in Thurrock.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vocational and employment support, including careers advice, job retention and employability training.
  • Remove barriers, build confidence and create opportunities for meaningful employment in individuals' recovery journeys.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with a wide range of partners to secure and sustain employment for service users.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering vocational and employment support services.
  • Strong understanding of careers advice, job retention and employability training.
  • Passion for removing barriers, building confidence and creating employment opportunities.

Benefits

  • Salary: £31,049 per annum
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, flexible schedule including occasional evenings and Saturdays.
  • Annual Leave: 35 days inclusive of bank holidays.
  • Location: Thurrock/South West Essex, according to service need.
