This global investment firm is expanding their equities capability, with a focus on fundamental long/short investing supported by quantitative research and portfolio construction tools. The approach prioritises flexibility, disciplined risk management, and stock-specific alpha. As part of this expansion, the firm is appointing a Leisure, Lodging & Gaming Sector Lead to build and run coverage across the sector. The business is organised around small, sector-focused teams that are supported by shared data, technology, and research resources. Investors operate in a collaborative environment with high transparency and accountability, and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to portfolio outcomes.
The Role
- Generating and owning fundamental long/short ideas across the Leisure, Lodging & Gaming sector.
- Conducting deep company, industry, regulatory, and balance-sheet analysis to source idiosyncratic alpha.
- Actively contributing to portfolio construction, risk management, and position sizing, with full transparency into P&L.
- Continually re-underwriting positions and rigorously challenging investment theses.
- Leveraging systematic signals, alternative data, and quantitative tools to enhance idea generation and portfolio robustness.
- Collaborating closely with other PMs and analysts, sharing insights and contributing to the broader investment ecosystem.
Your Profile
- 6+ years of experience in Leisure, Lodging & Gaming coverage and a large depth of knowledge in the sector.
- Highly process-driven, with a distinct investment edge.
- Deep expertise in your equity coverage universe.
- Strong collaborator, eager to build relationships within a dynamic team.
- Naturally curious, with a passion for deep fundamental research.
