Brief: One of APAC’s most prominent and technologically driven HFT firms, now building a European headquarters in London is seeking a Head of Research and Trading to spearhead their new quantitative practice across European Options and Futures.
Responsibilities:
- Remaining hands on across the day-to-day research agenda, while overseeing the wider strategy design, development and optimization.
- Collaborate with the risk management team to establish and maintain appropriate risk controls, ensuring the firm's trading activities are within acceptable risk parameters.
- Maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including brokers, exchanges, and technology partners.
- Contribute to the decision making of the European expansion and hiring process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in quantitative trading, preferably within a high-frequency trading environment.
- Proven track record of successful trading strategies across multiple asset classes (e.g., equities, futures, options, FX).
- Knowledge of European markets is an advantage.
