A dynamic, rapidly growing and flat-structured hedge fund led by a Credit Trading legend is looking to hire a full-stack developer into their Quant Technology team. Having launched in 2022, the firm has since experienced enormous growth in capital and is now sitting at over $7bn. Such a growth trajectory is testament to the brilliant minds at the forefront of the firm as well as the advanced trading technology at their disposal, which they continue to innovate and deem as an integral part of their continued success.
Following this exponential growth, this young and exciting team are now looking to engage with a multi-talented full-stack developer possessing both Python and React.js proficiency to apply their talents to a growing number of greenfield projects as the business continues to scale. Given the firm’s low headcount, flat structure and dynamic culture, there is fantastic opportunity for business impact, growth and progression given the upward trajectory and strong performance of the fund which is showing no signs of slowing down.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications and tools used by trading/investment/operations/risk teams
- Implement backend services and APIs in Python
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
- Learning a variety of modern technology frameworks and paradigms, including but not limited to Postgres, Docker, AWS, CICD, Redis
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1 - 4 years of professional software and web development experience from in a front-office facing role within finance
- Strong programming skills with Python
- Strong programming skills with JavaScript (preferably React.js)
- Knowledge of financial instruments and products
- Strong quantitative background
- Strong grasp of software engineering principles, debugging, and testing practices, use of Git
- Experience using Front Arena or another OMS, other databases, experience with containerisation solutions, and experience with cloud hosting technologies are all desirable
- Demonstrated passion for technology
- Desire to keep learning and self-develop
- Self-starter mindset with proactive problem-solving skills
- Entrepreneurial mentality, with a strong interest in contributing to a fast-growing business
- Excellent time-management skills, including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
