Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial dental assessments
  • Consult with dentists on patient care
  • Instruct patients regarding oral hygiene
  • Clean and stimulate the gums to prevent gum disease
  • Apply fluoride treatment
  • Remove stains and deposits from teeth
  • Take, develop, and mount X-rays

Qualifications

  • Education: College/CEGEP (required)
  • Dental Hygienist licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body
  • Will train for experience
  • English language proficiency
