TH School is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and qualified International School Teacher to join our diverse educational team. The candidate will also play a pivotal role cultivating curiosity, critical and creative thinking, and cultural awareness among our students, preparing them to thrive in a global society.
Reports to: Principal
Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning
- Design and document units of study and pacing guides that are aligned with curricular aims and objectives and learning frameworks.
- Plan engaging and purposeful lessons that are aligned with the curriculum (e.g. units of study, aims and objectives, and pacing guides).
- Incorporate strategies in planning that meets the diverse learning needs of students.
- Identify and use resources and applications to enrich learning.
- Plan collaboratively with team and/or department members.
- Instruction
- Use high impact research based instructional strategies (e.g. inquiry, timely and actionable feedback, etc.) to engage students in optimal learning.
- Deliver quality instruction that is purposeful and differentiated in order to meet the diverse learning needs of a multilingual student population.
- Use a variety of technology tools to support instruction, integrating student technology skill development with content learning.
- Provide academic assistance to students as needed, offering guidance in their subject or general study skills.
- Assessment
- Design formative and summative assessments to collect evidence of student learning and understanding.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Encourage students to reflect critically on their learning with the aim of continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate student records and provide regular reports on individual student progress and performance.
- Identify and use culturally responsive resources and applications to enrich learning.
- Classroom Environment
- Create a learning environment that is attractive, comfortable, safe, and welcoming.
- Maintain high expectations for student behaviour and implement effective classroom management strategies.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and respected.
- Professionalism
- Build positive relationships with students, offering mentorship, pastoral care, and support as they balance academic and personal responsibilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share, reflect and improve on classroom practice.
- Participate in departmental/grade level meetings, professional learning, and school events.
- Coach a sport and/or lead an after school extra-curricular activity throughout the academic year.
- Supervise academic support (afternoon and/or evening) ensuring a quiet, focused, and productive environment for students (Boarding).
- Comply with the TH School Professional Teaching Standards.

- Performs other duties and responsibilities consistent with those normally associated with the position of a teacher.
Qualifications/Background
- Minimum of a Bachelorβs Degree.
- 2+ years of experience of full time teaching at a progressive and/or international school community.
- Current international qualification / certification in teaching area.
- Experience with IB, IPC, Cambridge, or specific curriculum framework is highly desirable.

Terms of Employment
Highly competitive salary and benefits package. Work calendar, contract terms, salary, and benefits shall be equivalent to a certificated faculty position.
Performance Evaluation
The Principal will evaluate the job performance of the Teacher annually in accordance with TH School Board of Directors Policy.
