ThruDark is seeking a highly organised and technically proficient In-House eCommerce Photographer to lead the capture and production of all ecommerce imagery across our product range. This role will be responsible for delivering consistent, premium product photography across PLP and PDP environments, ensuring imagery reflects the performance heritage, technical credibility and elevated aesthetic of the ThruDark brand.
Working closely with the Creative and eCommerce teams, the eCommerce Photographer will own the full studio workflow, from pre-production planning through to final asset delivery. The role will play a key part in maintaining the visual consistency of the eCommerce platform, ensuring all imagery adheres to established lighting, framing, pose and styling guidelines. The ideal candidate combines strong studio lighting expertise with operational discipline, capable of managing high-volume apparel photography while maintaining exceptional visual standards.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Production: Support the planning and coordination of eCommerce shoots across seasonal launches, product drops and category updates. Work closely with the Creative and Content teams to interpret and execute the visual direction for eCommerce photography. Assist with model sourcing and casting where required, ensuring talent aligns with the energy and requirements of the Outdoor, Active and Utility product pillars. Prepare detailed shot lists covering: PLP and PDP image requirements, Product detail and construction shots, Fit and silhouette imagery. Ensure all garments and products are prepared and shoot ready ahead of production, including steaming, styling preparation and product organisation. Coordinate studio scheduling, equipment readiness and shoot logistics to ensure efficient production workflows.
- Production: Lead the execution of all eCommerce product shoots within the studio environment. Direct models and stylists to achieve consistent, on‑brand outcomes in line with ThruDark's eCommerce photography guidelines. Set up and operate studio lighting environments to deliver technically accurate and visually compelling imagery, ensuring consistent lighting across product categories. Capture apparel in a way that clearly communicates silhouette, fit, layering and construction, ensuring garments are presented accurately and confidently. Produce a structured set of assets for each product including: full body, interactions and movement product imagery for PLP, structured angle variations, close‑up fabric and construction details, ghost mannequin, product flat lays. Ensure garments are styled and positioned to clearly communicate the hero product within layered looks. Maintain consistent framing, background treatment and pose direction across all product categories. Maintain a clean, organised and efficient studio environment between shoots.
- eCommerce Image System Ownership: Ensure all imagery adheres to ThruDark's eCommerce photography guidelines including PLP and PDP framing standards, detail imagery requirements for PDP storytelling, structured pose and stance frameworks, consistent model direction and eye‑line control, approved background treatments and lighting setups, product angle capture standards. Maintain visual consistency across all product pillars including Outdoor, Active and Utility. Continuously review studio processes and workflows to improve production efficiency and image quality.
- Post-Production: Cull, select and organise imagery using consistent file management and established workflows. Retouch and colour‑grade images in line with ThruDark brand standards using Adobe Creative Suite. Ensure colour accuracy, tonal consistency and fabric texture are preserved during retouching. Prepare and export assets across multiple formats for eCommerce.
