Goodman Masson are delighted to be partnering with Thriving Investments in the search for a Director of Operations (Affordable Housing) and Managing Director of ReSI Homes. This is a rare opportunity to join one of the sector’s most ambitious and innovative investment managers operating across the affordable housing and living sectors. Backed by Places for People, Thriving Investments currently manages more than 5,000 homes and over £1.1bn of invested capital, with significant growth plans already underway.

At the centre of this growth is ReSI Homes – a regulated For-Profit Registered Provider with a strong focus on shared ownership and increasing investment across social and affordable rent. With more than 2,000 homes already secured and further expansion planned, this role will play a critical part in shaping the future operational success of the organisation.

Working closely with the Affordable Housing Fund Director, Investment and Finance teams, you will lead ReSI Homes as a resident-focused, safe, compliant and high-performing Registered Provider. You will drive operational excellence, customer experience and governance, while providing assurance to the Board and investors as the organisation continues its rapid growth trajectory.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing strategic operational leadership across a growing affordable housing portfolio
  • Leading customer-focused services across shared ownership, social rent and affordable rent homes
  • Ensuring homes are safe, compliant, well maintained and operationally effective
  • Driving resident satisfaction, complaint resolution and service improvement initiatives
  • Supporting the organisation through regulatory engagement with the Regulator of Social Housing and Housing Ombudsman
  • Leading Board and investor reporting, governance and risk escalation
  • Managing key external partnerships including managing agents, local authorities and sector stakeholders
  • Overseeing operational budgets, business planning and long-term sustainability
  • Supporting pipeline integration, mobilisation and operational readiness for new developments and acquisitions

We are looking to speak with senior housing professionals who bring substantial leadership experience from within a Registered Provider or similarly regulated environment. You will possess strong expertise across shared ownership, affordable housing operations and residential property management, alongside the ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced, commercially focused and highly collaborative environment. Experience working within a For-Profit Registered Provider, investment fund environment or matrix organisation would be highly advantageous.
