Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Fire Alarm Systems? We are working with a well-established fire and security business that delivers complex fire protection and integrated security solutions across the UK. The company manages projects end-to-end, covering design, supply, installation, testing, and maintenance of sprinkler systems, gas suppression, fire detection, and integrated security systems. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of fire alarm system projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and fully compliant with fire safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Manage projects from initiation to completion
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, engineers, and regulatory authorities
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions
  • Review system designs and specifications for compliance with fire and building regulations
  • Oversee installation quality, testing, and commissioning
  • Manage integration with HVAC, security, and building automation systems
  • Act as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate with internal sales, engineering, design, and installation teams
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control reviews
  • Manage project documentation including as-built drawings and compliance certificates

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience managing fire protection projects up to Β£6m
  • Experience with Public Address (PA) and Disabled Refuge Systems (essential)
  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2) preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and detection technologies
  • Understanding of fire safety legislation and building regulations
  • Familiarity with leading fire alarm manufacturers
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office
