Are you a grounds maintenance person looking for a new role based in the Plymouth area? This National provider to the Facilities Services industry offers long term stability and career progression, with a great package on offer and a van to commute to and from work. This company also has a very high staff retention rate.
This company looks after the Sutton Harbour contract and requires a Grounds Maintenance Person to look after the upkeep of the harbour grounds including lawns, planting, paths and roads. Due to the size of the harbour, you will be supplied with a van as well as all the tools and chemicals required to do the job.
This is a role working Monday to Friday (40 hours). Duties will include all aspects of grounds maintenance from weed control, keeping the lawns up together including mowing and edging, repairing paths, painting of railings and lamp posts as well as general maintenance and repairs where needed, all in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act requirement and to company safety procedures and contract specification.
Responsibilities include:
- Responding to Reactive Works to include all grounds keeping building maintenance issues
- Adhering to the out of hours call out rota (as required)
- Correct and timely completion of paperwork according to company policy and procedure
- Providing engineering condition reports and quotations
- Logbook auditing
- Good customer interface skills
Technical Skills / Knowledge:
- Demonstrate competence in all areas of your primary trade (with valid certification)
- Delivery of service excellence
- Reasonable understanding and a proactive approach to the following other trade skills: Grounds keeping, Safe use of Pesticides
