We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Farmer Liaison Manager to join our team in West Wales. This role is pivotal in fostering strong relationships with our farm suppliers, supporting sustainable practices, and ensuring high standards of animal welfare and farm hygiene.

Key Activities
  • Develop strong working and commercial relationships with all farm suppliers.
  • Maintain a close relationship with the Site Senior Leadership Team.
  • Support the business in driving strategy, including farm sustainability.
  • Monitor animal welfare and farm hygiene.
  • Support routine farm audits.
  • Advise Farmers on regulations and legislation that affects the UK Dairy industry.
  • Represent the business at agricultural trade shows.
  • Aware of trends and issues, including political, in the dairy sector.
  • Track and report milk, whey, and cream volumes.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proven experience in agriculture, farming, or a related sector.
  • A degree in agriculture, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of animal welfare standards and sustainable farming practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align farm operations with broader business objectives.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
