Are you an experienced Foot Mobile Engineer with a strong background in high-end commercial sites? Do you have experience managing your own PPMs, reactive works, and liaising with subcontractors? We are working with a leading HVAC and FM service provider who is looking for a Foot Mobile Engineer to join their team, covering multiple prestigious sites across Central London. You will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial offices, laboratories, and plant rooms. This includes fault-finding, repairs, and ensuring the smooth operation of all M&E systems.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out switching schedules and running building shut downs and complex system works.
- Deliver routine PPM and electrical plants in line with site schedules and asset lists.
- Carry out reactive tasks, including concessionary stores and fabric-related items, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
- Oversee subcontractor works, ensuring safe working practices and high-quality service.
- Operate a Permit to Work System in line with company and client H&S procedures.
- Diagnose and remedy plant faults, sourcing spares where required.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and update the CAFM system (e.g., Maximo) accurately and promptly.
- Maintain plant rooms in a safe, clean, and tidy condition at all times.
- Support site management with supervising engineers, subcontractors, and ensuring KPI/SLA compliance.
- Monitor environmental conditions via BMS systems, maintaining optimum building performance.
- Promote a strong health & safety culture, completing risk assessments and reporting near misses.
- Fully qualified Electrician (C&G/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations + AM2).
- 18th Edition qualified.
- 2391 Testing & Inspection (advantageous).
- Ideal candidate to have AP, HV or LVAP experience.
- Experience in both PPM and reactive maintenance within commercial buildings.
- Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Previous supervisory experience or involvement with subcontractor management (desirable).
- £50,000 - £55,000 salary + call-out + overtime.
