Job Overview: As the Head of Engineering at ThriveCart, you will lead our engineering team to build and scale our high-performance eCommerce platform. You'll drive architectural decisions, ensure best practices in development, and cultivate a culture of innovation and technical excellence. This role is ideal for a handsâon technical leader who thrives in a fastâpaced, productâled environment.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Define and execute the engineering vision, ensuring scalability, security, and performance of the ThriveCart platform.
- Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and lead a highâperforming engineering team, fostering a collaborative and growthâfocused culture.
- Product Development: Work closely with product, design, and business stakeholders to develop and launch new features that enhance user experience and business outcomes.
- Scalability & Performance: Oversee infrastructure, system architecture, and DevOps strategies to ensure a reliable and scalable platform.
- Quality & Best Practices: Implement and enforce best practices for software development, including CI/CD, code reviews, testing, and security protocols.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, evaluating new technologies and methodologies to keep ThriveCart at the forefront of eCommerce innovation.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of scaling and leading engineering teams in a SaaS and eCommerce environment.
- Experience with payment processing, checkout systems, or related eCommerce technologies is required.
- Deep expertise in modern web technologies, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or similar), and software architecture best practices.
- Strong problemâsolving skills with the ability to make dataâdriven decisions in a highâgrowth setting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align engineering efforts with business goals.
