We are looking for an experienced and customer‑centric Senior Product Manager to help shape and scale our Financial Wellbeing platform at Thrive. This role will be responsible for owning the product roadmap and ensuring our digital tools empower users to improve their financial health across budgeting, saving, investing, retirement, and broader money management outcomes. This role is offered on a hybrid contract with 2-3 days per week attendance at our impressive offices in Elkstone, Gloucestershire. The salary offered is up to £130K.

You will work at the intersection of user needs, commercial objectives, technology capabilities, and regulatory requirements, translating complex financial concepts into intuitive, engaging digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the product vision and roadmap for the financial wellbeing platform.
  • Align platform development with business goals, client needs (employers, advisers, or end‑users), and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities to differentiate the proposition through features such as:
    • Financial education and guidance tools.
    • Savings, investing, pension, or debt support journeys.
    • Personalisation, nudges, and behavioural insights.
  • Translate high‑level strategy into clear product requirements, user stories, and prioritised backlogs.
  • Work closely with engineering, UX/UI, data, and third‑party providers to deliver high‑quality releases.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management in an agile environment.
  • Make data‑driven decisions using user analytics, experimentation, and feedback loops.
  • Represent the voice of the user, ensuring products are intuitive, inclusive, and accessible.
  • Conduct discovery through user research, testing, and insight analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including marketing, sales, compliance, legal, customer success, and operations.
  • Support go‑to‑market activity, including product launches, training, and client communications.
  • Ensure products operate within relevant UK regulatory and compliance frameworks, including FCA requirements.
  • Work with risk, compliance, and legal teams to embed governance, disclosures, and customer protections into product design.
  • Monitor platform performance, customer outcomes, and operational risk indicators.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven extensive experience as a Senior Product Manager on a digital platform, ideally within employee benefit sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial wellbeing concepts, such as budgeting, saving, investing, pensions, or debt management.
  • Experience working within agile delivery environments.
  • Ability to translate complex financial or technical concepts into simple user‑focused solutions.
  • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience building or managing financial wellbeing, wealth, or benefits platforms.
  • Exposure to B2B2C models (e.g. employer, adviser, or institutional‑led distribution).
  • Knowledge of behavioural finance, customer nudges, or financial education frameworks.
  • Familiarity with UK regulatory considerations impacting consumer financial products.
  • Experience integrating third‑party APIs, open banking, or investment platforms.
