The Role
Location: Nottingham
Working pattern: Hybrid, with 3 days a week in our Bingham office
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with early experience in bid writing, proposals, or commercial support who is looking to further develop their career within a fast-growing SaaS technology business. As a Junior Bid Writer, you’ll support the creation of high-quality tender responses, RFP submissions, presentations, and supporting proposal content that helps win new business across the UK and international markets. You’ll work closely with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Marketing, Technical teams and senior stakeholders across the business to coordinate information, manage deadlines, and help produce compelling, accurate and customer-focused responses. This role would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented, curious about technology, and enjoys both writing and project coordination.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end coordination of bids, tenders, RFIs, RFQs and RFP responses
- Assist with drafting proposal responses, executive summaries and supporting documentation
- Help maintain and develop bid content libraries, boilerplate responses and knowledge repositories
- Coordinate contributions from internal stakeholders including Product, Security, Customer Success, Engineering and Sales
- Review tender requirements and help identify key win themes, risks and clarification questions
- Ensure responses are accurate, well-structured, compliant and submitted on time
- Help maintain bid trackers, and reporting documentation
- Research prospective customers, industries and competitor positioning
- Support continuous improvement of bid processes, templates and response quality
- Learn and develop knowledge of the company’s products, integrations, implementation approach and services
Essential Skills
- 1+ years’ experience in bid writing, proposals, sales support, marketing, procurement or a related commercial role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously
- Confident working with stakeholders across different teams
- Strong proofreading and document formatting skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Good Microsoft Office / Google Workspace skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in SaaS, technology, eLearning or professional services
- Exposure to public sector or enterprise procurement processes
- Experience using CRM, project management or collaboration tools
- Degree in English, Business, Marketing, Communications or similar
- Comfortable learning new technologies and platforms quickly
