Product Manager Thrive Sciences makes biotechnology-based cleaning and hygiene products, and our range is growing fast, in the UK and internationally. Right now, the information that holds that range together sits across spreadsheets, inboxes and people's heads. We need someone to own it properly: the pipeline, the data and the process, so nothing falls between functions. WHAT YOU WILL DO -• Own our central product data record end to end: structure, accuracy, version control and the process by which it is kept current. • Own the product information that goes out to distributors, marketplaces and customers, and run the change control process so a formulation or packaging change flows through to every document and listing that references it. • Run the product pipeline from concept to launch: a single view of stage, owner, dependency and date, with regular pipeline reviews and decisions that get followed up. • Manage packaging and artwork from brief through to print release, including the compliance check before anything is printed. • Be the connection point between science, production, operations, procurement and commercial on anything product related, and keep leadership supplied with an honest current status without being asked. YOUR FIRST YEAR - You will start with a full inventory of where product information currently lives and who owns each source and get the pipeline into one place with a consistent stage definition. From there, you will agree and populate a single source of truth for product data, document the change control process, and put named gates around artwork and launch. By the end of the year, you will have taken two or more product launches or changes through the new process and made the case for the system that should replace manual record keeping. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR -• Three or more years in product operations, project coordination, supply chain or a similar cross functional role. • A strong organisational instinct: someone who can take an unstructured area and impose a workable structure on it. • Advanced spreadsheet skills and real comfort with structured data, version control and data integrity. • A proven ability to keep projects moving through people who do not report to you. • Comfort with a small business, where you will design the process and then run it yourself. • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, chemical, consumer goods or a regulated product environment is welcome but not essential. WHY THIS ROLE - You will build the product function rather than inherit it. There is a clear brief, visible impact, and direct access to the people making decisions. LOCATION – This position is a Hybrid role based in Lancaster where our labs are, you need to be commutable to Lancaster. All candidate’s need to be residents in the UK. No sponsorship is offered.
