What if your next role was interesting, exciting, and meaningful. What if it helped people sleep better at night?

At Thrive, we believe financial confidence isn’t a luxury. It’s a foundation for a better life, today and tomorrow.

Our all-in-one financial wellbeing platform brings together pensions, employee benefits and real human financial coaching to give employees clarity, control and confidence over their finances.

Meanwhile, we help businesses cut admin, stay compliant and drive real engagement.

We’re scaling fast, backed by purpose, and powered by intuitive tech.

Our mission? To deliver meaningful financial wellbeing for millions helping businesses and their people thrive.

To support this mission, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) who is hungry for growth, thrives in a fast-paced, ambitious environment, and is ready to play a key role in driving our next phase of commercial success.

What you will be doing:

  • Own the entire new business sales process, from prospecting to closing.
  • Proactively generate leads and build a robust pipeline through outbound efforts (cold outreach, social selling, networking, events).
  • Target HR, People, Finance, and C-suite decisionmakers in SMEs and mid-market organisations that align with our Ideal Client Profile (ICP).
  • Confidently deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and tailored proposals, both independently and alongside senior leadership where appropriate.
  • Leverage your existing network to open doors and accelerate market penetration.
  • Provide market feedback to the product and leadership teams to support product-market fit and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and pipeline updates in our CRM.
  • Represent Thrive at relevant events, conferences, and webinars to build awareness and credibility.
  • Help shape and refine the sales process as we scale.

What we\’re looking for:

  • Proven success in B2B sales, ideally within SaaS, HR tech, employee benefits, or more specifically pensions.
  • Strong hunter mentality, driven to generate leads, close deals, and exceed targets.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable owning the full sales cycle in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a structured, disciplined approach to pipeline development.
  • Curious, commercially aware, and passionate about solving real business problems.
  • Previous experience selling into HR, Finance, or C-suite decision-makers is highly desirable.
  • Experience in pensions, employee benefits, or financial wellbeing is highly advantageous.

What we offer

  • Competitive base salary up to £70,000 dependent on experience.
  • Uncapped, industry-leading commission structure, your success is rewarded.
  • Hybrid working with flexibility to fit life.
  • Opportunity to work with a purpose-led, rapidly scaling fintech.
  • Clear growth and progression opportunities as the commercial team expands.
  • Regular in-person team events and client engagement opportunities.
  • Other benefits to be discussed.

Are you in? If you’re hungry to drive sales, thrive on building relationships, and want to be part of a fintech making real-world impact, Thrive could be your next big opportunity. Apply now and help shape the future of financial wellbeing.

We reserve the right to close the vacancy early, should we receive sufficient applications.
