We’re looking for a Partnership and Engagement Lead to join our Thriving Nottingham service. Our programmes are designed to support individuals and families to improve their health behaviours and make sustainable changes to their lifestyle.

Thriving Nottingham consists of six key services:

  • Stop smoking support
  • Tailored physical activity programmes
  • Adult weight management
  • Child/family weight management
  • Health Coaching
  • Vape Cessation for Young People
  • Digital Inclusion

Residents across the City of Nottingham will be able to benefit from a variety of our established pathways and products, to help residents make lasting healthy lifestyle changes. As Engagement Lead you will manage a team of Community Engagement, Primary and Secondary care coordinators focusing on co‑production and targeted promotion to ensure we meet our ambitious referral targets. During year 2 of the service the team exceeded 10,000 referrals, and we are looking for a Lead to help us double these referral levels.

Typical day as a Partnership and Engagement Lead:

  • This role forms part of the leadership team at Thriving Nottingham, reporting to the Head of Service.
  • Leading on strategic partnerships across the city, including NUH, CityCare and PCN partners, spotting opportunities for innovation, development and growth.
  • Line‑managing the team who engage with external organisations to build effective partnerships and promotion of Thriving Nottingham, particularly within primary care locations, voluntary and community services.
  • Using data to inform next steps for the team – and areas of high focus across the service.
  • Leading the marketing and social media function for the organisation.
  • Leading and further developing our approach to co‑production within the community, ensuring underserved communities have equitable opportunities to access our service.
  • Establishing effective and developing referral relationships with local community and health partners from a variety of settings including GPs, hospital trusts, mental health trust and voluntary organisations.
  • Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
  • Ensuring due consideration is given to our Safeguarding, Information Governance and Clinical Governance policies and procedures.
  • To ensure safer recruitment and safeguarding for all we adopt pre‑employment processes, including DBS checks.

To work with us in this role, you will need to have a strong partnership and strategic leadership background, alongside co‑production skills that can enable the team to continue to develop at pace. You’ll need an understanding of health inequalities in Nottingham City, and experience or ideas about how to embed Healthy Lifestyles into underserved communities. This is a pivotal role in a busy service, so you can expect your working week to be varied and fast‑paced.
