This is an exciting role that will provide tailored specialist stop smoking support, over a 6-week intervention, to people living in Hammersmith & Fulham area. We work with the local primary care network to support clients who are looking to improve their Health & Wellbeing specifically with quitting smoking.

A typical day as a Specialist Stop Smoking Advisor might include:
- Delivering evidence-based 1:1 intervention that focus on smoking cessation, behaviour change, and psychological support to save lives by helping smokers quit for good.
- Running stop smoking clinics across H&F within the local health centres and medical centres, with a potential of running clinics in a community setting.
- Conducting CO-level testing, advising on pharmacotherapy and requesting prescriptions.
- Managing a caseload of clients and monitoring and recording outcomes in Microsoft SharePoint and SystmOne.
- Collaborating with practice managers, GPs, nurses, pharmacists and link workers within the PCN to help raise awareness about the service and improve patient uptake.
- Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for clients, in alignment with our policies and procedures.
- Engaging in training relevant to your role, such as NCSCT Stop Smoking training and Behaviour Change Level 1 and 2.
- Co-producing with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments; for example, sharing ideas for creating new resources or patient feedback pathways.
- Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance.

To work with us in this role you will need to have some delivery experience of supporting clients to make healthy lifestyle choices. Full training for the role will be provided, however if you have already completed your NCSCT Stop Smoking Advisor training that’s a bonus!

Contract: We have 1 full time equivalent role on offer (our full-time hours are 37.5 hours), permanent contract.
Salary: Starting at £27,000 FTE (rising through annual increments to £30,000). Please note, a pro rata salary is applied for part time positions.
