Job Overview

The main aspect of this role involves delivery of the Gloji Energy programme that supports children and their families to lead healthy lifestyles. The programme provides eligible Nottingham families a fun and engaging programme, that encourages them to eat healthier, increase their physical activity levels, as well as improving their sleep and wellbeing. The holistic programme combines both one-to-one appointments and weekly group sessions for children aged 5 to 17 years old, and their families. There is also scope to support teenagers on a 121 basis, supporting them to make positive healthy lifestyle changes in a way that works for them and to get involved in our schools programme.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering a planned child and family weight management and healthy lifestyle programme to eligible Nottingham families, focusing on behaviour change, to help families make changes to nutrition, movement, mind and sleep.
  • Motivate, inspire and support children, young people, and parents/carers to adopt a healthier lifestyle, through a professional, knowledgeable and empathetic approach.
  • Be able to relate and communicate to both children, young people and their parents/carers, handling sensitive conversations in a professional manner.
  • Deliver, or support the delivery, of fun and engaging physical activity with children and young people.
  • Provide one-to-one support to children, young people and families where this is identified as appropriate.
  • Accurately record and monitor data in a timely manner using basic IT skills.
  • Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments.
  • Ensuring due consideration is given to our Safeguarding, Information Governance and Clinical Governance policies and procedures.
  • Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!

About you

  • Tailored health and wellbeing support.
