At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! We’re looking for a Health Coach to join our new Tier 2 weight management service in Brighton & Hove.
The role will encompass delivering a range of weight management interventions, includingdelivering our Adult Group Program and Children and Families Program. The adult weight management program allows our clients to benefit from group support and encouragement each week, covering topics such as making and breaking habits, nutrition, sleep and getting active! The Children & Families program provides eligible families fun and engaging sessions that encourage them to eat healthier, manage their weight and increase their physical activity levels.

A typical day as a Health Coach might include :
- Delivering evidence-based interventions that focus on diet, nutrition, physical activity, behaviour change, and psychological support.
- Motivating, inspiring and supporting individuals to manage their weight and adopt a healthier lifestyle, through a professional, knowledgeable and empathetic approach
- Implementing aspects of an individual’s health improvement plan including SMART goal setting, taking into account their risk factors, individual lifestyles and motivations
- Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for clients, aligning with our internal policies and procedures
- Accurately recording and monitoring data, including client progression
- The role will require some evening work to cater for our clients\’ demands. This will be at least one evening per week (this may increase on the occasional week when “cover” across the city is required)
- Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
- Ensuring due consideration is given to Information Governance and Clinical Governance legislation, requirements and guidance

To work with us in this role you will need tohavesome experience of supporting individuals to make healthy lifestyle choices, preferably in group settings, through nutrition, physical activity or health coaching. You will feel confident managing a caseload and have knowledge of behaviour change techniques. A relevant qualification (such as health coaching or fitness instructing) would be a bonus!

Contract:Permanent, Part Time (30 hours)
Salary:Starting at £23,810 per year (full time equivalent salary to be pro rata)

Location:This job is based in Brighton & Hove, with regular travel across the City (car owner desired). There is no office base so the role will require home working when not delivering face-to-face sessions. Some evening work each week will be required to accommodate our client’s lifestyles.
