We’re looking for a Health Coach to join our One You East Sussex service. One You East Sussex provides high quality and evidenced based information, advice, and interventions to help people change unhealthy behaviours. The Health Coach team spearhead our frontline work by offering holistic healthy lifestyle assessments.
They will support people to

A typical day as a Health Coach might include:
- Support people to identify healthy lifestyle changes using behaviour change techniques in both face to face and remote style clinics
- Work in partnership to put together a plan using SMART goal setting and micro change resources
- Signpost into wider One You East Sussex programmes such as smoke free, Gloji Group and NHS Health Checks as well as to external support services
- Manage your caseload, clinic, and appointment times, carrying out caseload reviews with your lead on a regular basis
- To ensure that clients have the best customer experience, using reflective practice skills to support CPD. Collect case studies and support social media content.
- To be positive and highly motivational when dealing with clients, ensuring you empower them to make a positive lifestyle change and accurately recording their successes when they do.
- Organise and keep up to date a record of contact using required systems, ensuring planned follow up contact is made and recorded.
- Taking responsibility for your own training and development, that way we can make the biggest impact!
- Working with colleagues across all our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
- Ensuring due consideration is given to our Safeguarding, Information Governance and Clinical Governance policies and procedures. To ensure safer recruitment and safeguarding for all we adopt pre-employment processes, including DBS checks

To work with us in this role you will need to be a positive individual who can empower others in a motivational, yet professional and appropriate manner. You will need strong communication skills, be empathic and have a non- judgemental approach towards others. You will be comfortable with regular face to face sessions with clients, recording and accurately inputting collected data. Some knowledge of basic healthy lifestyle information will be required, and you’ll be comfortable at imparting this with clients. However, we hire based on attitude over traditional skills and experience so if you feel you are right for the role we would love to hear from you!

Contract:22.5 hours a week – 3 days a week – one day will be based in the Rye area of East Sussex to run a clinic.
The successful candidate will be expected to work on Thursdays and Fridays – the other day to be worked is negotiable.
Salary:Starting at £23,810 with increments up to £25,000 pro rota.

Location:This job is based in East Sussex, with regular travel across the County (car owner essential) & occasional requirements to attend Thrive Tribe HQ in Stratford.
