MAN v FAT provide year-round men’s weight loss and wellbeing communities in the form of Football & Rugby clubs. They are designed for men with a BMI of 27.5 and above. Launched in 2016 by male weight loss specialists, MAN v FAT appeals to men who love football or rugby and want to lose weight. The clubs are unique because the coach weighs each player before their game and players earn bonus goals for weight loss, so the league is decided not only on points but pounds lost. The programme has grown across the UK with endorsements from the FA and Sport England and over 160 clubs.

We’re looking for a dedicated MAN v FAT Health and Wellbeing Coach to support the players and ensure the smooth running and high performance of the club based at Lynn Grove Academy, Great Yarmouth, NR31 8AP. The role suits an individual who shares our passion for helping men make health and lifestyle improvements to lose weight. Note: this role does not involve training players on the pitch or instructing exercise of any kind. This is not a football coaching role. It is about supporting and motivating players to adopt healthy lifestyle changes, facilitating safe and effective sessions, and completing league-related admin tasks.

We hire based on attitude over traditional skills and experience. If you feel you are right for the job, we would love to hear from you. This role is suitable if you:

  • You’re well organised and can manage time effectively
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You have an understanding (or first-hand experience) of weight loss
  • You’re confident using a computer (the role includes online data entry and you will need your own device)
  • You have a current First Aid qualification or are willing to undertake a First Aid course prior to starting
  • You have access to your own transport (equipment will need transporting to and from sessions; full training and equipment are provided)

Within our buzzing environment, we work hard and have fun. Perks include:

  • A free membership for you or a partner to another MAN v FAT Football or Rugby club
  • Employee Health and Wellbeing programmes, such as JAAQ and access to NutriChek
  • Professional development opportunities such as First Aid and Mental Health First Aid

Contract: Competitive rate of pay as part of the UK’s largest male-only weight loss community. This is a sessional (2.5 hours a week) role with potential to expand as the clubs grow. Hours are split between face-to-face player support, delivering player weigh-ins (on a Tuesday evening – only apply if you are available at this time) and completing club-related admin throughout the week. Salary: £17 - £22 per hour.

Closing Date: Sunday 1st March 2026. We reserve the right to close applications when we have sufficient suitable applicants. To apply: Attach your CV and a covering letter detailing why you would like the position, your relevant skills and experience, and any current First Aid qualifications. Interviews are likely to take place the week commencing 2nd March 2026 and will be online via Teams. Location: This club runs from Lynn Grove Academy, Great Yarmouth – Tuesdays 7pm–8:30pm.

Please note the successful applicant will be required to have the right to work in the UK.

We believe everyone has the right to thrive at work and are committed to equal employment opportunity. If you require any accommodations in the recruitment process, please let us know in your application.
