Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive!
At Thrive Tribe we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier! It’s a super exciting time to join us as we begin to deliver our newly awarded Smoking Cessation support service across Hampshire, and we’re looking for a Community Stop Smoking Advisor to join us!
Our programme is designed to support residents of Hampshire access the support they need to stop smoking. This can be done through a number of approaches and will include the supply of Nicotine Replacement Therapies (NRT) being sent to them. Combining these, with digital, remote or face-to face appointments with Stop Smoking Advisors to support them to ensure their quit attempt is successful.
This role will primarily focus on the delivery of one-to-one, high quality, effective 12-week smoking cessation interventions, in addition to some group-based provision. For people supported to quit smoking via the use of a vape quit aid, where the risk of relapse is deemed low, a vape cessation service will be offered (and delivered). For residents who don’t smoke tobacco, but do use vape devices and wish to stop, this role will also provide vape cessation support for this cohort of people too.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. We don’t like to stick to a firm JD as we know from experience that things change throughout the lifetime of a role and it gives our people the chance to play to their strengths.
A typical day as a Community Stop Smoking Advisor might include:
- Delivering evidence-based interventions that focus on smoking cessation, behaviour change, and psychological support to save lives by helping smokers to quit for good.
- Attending face-to-face stop smoking clinics and working with clients on a one-to-one and group basis, in person, to support them with their quit attempt.
- Targeted delivery of the service to priority groups, and across priority areas.
- Supporting people to stop using vape/e-cigarette products
- Working with partner organisations and colleagues in across the county to help improve service uptake and meet targets.
- Ensuring an excellent and safe experience for clients using our policies and procedures
- Work with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments – we’re always looking to share knowledge and resources!
- Ensuring due consideration is given to our Safeguarding, Information Governance and Clinical Governance policies and procedures. To ensure safer recruitment and safeguarding for all we adopt pre-employment processes, including DBS checks.
- Help us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!
