We’re looking for an Engagement Officer to join our Gloji Brighton & Hove Team. Gloji is the weight management service for Brighton & Hove, supporting local residents and commissioned by BHCC.
Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, you can expect your time at work to be fun, varied and challenging. A typical day as an Engagement & Marketing Officer might include:
- Attending events to promote our service to our stakeholders and community members.
- Maintaining and growing our social media presence in the local area, raising awareness of our service and the pathways we provide.
- Referral generation to all arms of our service targeting hard to reach communities within Brighton and Hove.
- Supporting other colleagues with delivery of our programs to the community.
- Giving presentations to our colleagues in primary and secondary care across the city.
- Working closely with HOS to devise strategic plans for promotion and engagement to ensure our KPI's are achieved.
- Working with colleagues across all of our Thrive Tribe services to contribute to new projects and service developments.
- Ensuring due consideration is given to our Safeguarding, Information Governance and Clinical Governance policies and procedures.
- Helping us maintain the ethos of Thrive Tribe by driving our organisational culture forward across our services and using every opportunity to embed our values!

To work with us in this role you will need to have good communication skills, be confident in presenting to individuals and groups, have a good knowledge of Brighton's demographic and layout; social media experience; a background in service promotion or community engagement would be helpful. Contract: Part-time: 3 days per week (22.5 hours), permanent. Salary: £24,785 per year (pro-rota). Closing Date: Friday 14th August 2026. Location: This role will include remote working options, but will involve meeting in person with key stakeholders and partners across Brighton & Hove. Therefore living within this area is deemed as an essential criteria for those applying.
