Summary of the Role

MileShyClub is a running and walking club specifically for beginners. We are a registered charity with eleven running and walking clubs in various locations across Trafford. We are always on the look out for volunteer helpers for our walking groups in Sale, Stretford, Old Trafford, Partington, Urmston and the Trafford Centre. We have now developed a training programme which turns helpers into walk leaders! We’re currently looking for walk leaders for Stretford – leading a walk around Victoria Park at 6:30pm on Monday evenings.

Main Tasks

Here’s a guide to our current walking groups: Our walks are open to everyone. As a club we cater for all abilities and adapt our sessions to ensure they are fully inclusive. Our walks generally do not exceed one mile. Your role involves welcoming participants and helping to lead them in a warm up, then accompanying them on the walk.
