Park Play Volunteer, Park Play

Summary of the Role

Trafford Council are working in partnership with Park Play to bring free community activity to communities in Old Trafford, Partington, Broomwood and Longford Parks.

We need Park Play Leaders and Park Play volunteers to run / supervise games in parks (Currently Longford Park ad Dainewell Park) followed by a community chat.

If you’re a people person and a community champion or someone interested in sport, physical activity, and movement, we’d love to hear from you!

Main Tasks

Full training provided, to lead structured games and play on a Saturday morning for 2 hours followed by an informal community get together.

Playleader tasks:

– Set-up, checking spaces are safe and equipment is ready
– Welcome ParkPlayers to the session
– Run the activities for the session
– Create a fun and inclusive environment
– Complete the session register and report any incidents

Role requirements

DBS
18+ for play leaders
play volunteers can be Bronze DofE +
