This Bristol-based FM and Engineering Maintenance company offers service and maintenance to various commercial offices and some retail chains across the Bristol area, with sites in BS, BA, GL, and SN postcode areas.
As a PAT tester, you will be responsible for the annual testing of all electrical appliances across clients' buildings, including items such as kettles, toasters, heated taps, fridge freezers, and microwaves.
You will be supplied with a van and all the tools you need, including testing equipment, to enable you to perform your job effectively. You will work on a mobile basis using an iPad, where you will receive your jobs in advance to manage your day efficiently. There is an element of paperwork for each job, allowing flexibility to work in the office or at home when completing paperwork.
The job of a Portable Appliance Test Engineer involves the inspection and testing of portable appliances in and around client premises. The Test Engineer will ensure that a professional service is delivered safely and timely. Most work will be conducted during normal working hours, but there may be occasions requiring out-of-hours work depending on site type and client access.
