We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of reactive maintenance contracts across a portfolio of commercial retail and shop-based clients. This is a hands-on role requiring strong multi-trade knowledge, excellent client management skills, and the ability to coordinate subcontractors, quotations, and contract delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reactive maintenance contracts from job inception through to completion.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed standards.
  • Attend client meetings and site visits as required.
  • Prepare and support quotations, pricing, and remedial work proposals.
  • Assess maintenance requirements and provide technical solutions across a range of building fabric and multi-trade works.
  • Monitor contract performance, KPIs, and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Assist with planning, scheduling, and resource allocation across multiple contracts.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Service Manager, or Supervisor within Reactive Maintenance or Facilities Management.
  • Strong multi-trade building maintenance knowledge.
  • Experience managing reactive maintenance contracts within retail, commercial, or multi-site environments.
  • Ability to prepare quotations, price works, and understand job costing.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
