Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Install & Commissioning Engineer to join our expanding Fire & Security team.

Covering Bath and the M4/M5 corridor, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and handover of a wide range of fire, life safety, and electronic security systems. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering high-quality projects across commercial environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out first-fix installations through to the successful commissioning of Fire & Security systems.
  • Install, test, and commission fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and life safety systems.
  • Assist with project handovers, ensuring all systems are fully operational and client expectations are met.
  • Work closely with the Lead Installation Engineer to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme deadlines.
  • Ensure all installations comply with current legislation, British Standards, and company procedures.
  • Support the Service Team when required.
  • Produce accurate commissioning records, as-fitted drawings, and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) documentation.
  • Record system information, including loop loadings, battery calculations, device schedules, wiring information, and commissioning data.
  • Liaise with site managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure projects progress efficiently.
  • Manage your own workload, company vehicle, tools, and stock levels.
  • Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience installing and commissioning Fire & Security systems.
  • Current CSCS or ECS Card.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good attention to detail and a proactive approach.
  • Competent using Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualification.
  • IPAF and PASMA certifications.
