We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Engineer to join a growing and established business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of a wide range of fire and security systems across commercial and residential sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, fault-find, and repair:
    • Fire alarm systems (conventional and addressable)
    • Intruder alarm systems
    • CCTV systems (IP and analogue)
    • Access control systems
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
  • Attend reactive callouts within agreed response times.
  • Complete small works and minor installations when required.
  • Commission systems following installations or modifications.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with current industry standards and company procedures.
  • Accurately complete all service reports, job sheets, and certification.
  • Identify system faults, non-compliances, and provide recommendations for remedial works.
  • Use mobile devices and job management systems to update work progress and records.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire and/or security systems.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
  • Good knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry regulations.
  • Experience with fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems.
  • Good IT skills and experience using mobile reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Qualifications (Desirable)

  • FIA Units or equivalent fire alarm qualifications.
  • Manufacturer or industry training in CCTV, access control, or intruder alarms.
  • ECS/CSCS card is beneficial.
