Are you working as a PAT tester or an electrical improver/mate looking to go down this electrical path? If so, this role could be for you. This Bristol based FM and Engineering Maintenance company offers service and maintenance to various commercial offices and some retail chains across the Bristol area, with sites in BS, BA, GL, SN postcode areas.
As a PAT tester, you will be responsible for the annual testing of all electrical appliances across their clients' buildings, items such as kettles, toasters, heated taps, fridge freezers, microwaves, to name a few. You will be supplied a van and all the tools you need, including testing equipment to enable you to do your job with no issues. You will work on a mobile basis, working from an iPad where you will be given your jobs in advance so you can manage your day effectively. There is an element of paperwork to do for each job, so this position offers you flexibility to work in the office or at home when completing paperwork.
The job of a Portable Appliance Test Engineer involves the inspection and testing of portable appliances in and around client premises. The Test Engineer will ensure that a professional service is delivered in a safe and timely manner. In the main, this will be achieved in normal working hours but there may be occasions when there is a requirement to work out of hours dependent on the type of site and client access.

- Previous experience of working as a PAT Tester or a recognised electrical qualification, preferably as a time served Tester City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent – desirable
- A proven ability to work in a safe manner in accordance with company policies and safety legislation
- Dedication to keep up to date with current legislation and undertake any training as required.
