Location: Specialist School Setting
Hours: 29.25 per week
- Monday: 9:15am - 4:00pm
- Tuesday to Friday: 9:15am - 3:30pm
We are looking for dedicated Specialist Learning Support Assistants to join a nurturing SEN school supporting children and young people aged 4-19 with severe and complex learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a structured, inclusive environment where every learner is supported to achieve meaningful progress and reach their potential.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for pupils in and out of the classroom
- Assist in delivering individual learning plans (IEPs/EHCPs)
- Implement tailored teaching strategies under the guidance of the class teacher
- Offer 1:1 and small group support
- Help with personal care and daily routines, where required
- Encourage social interaction, communication, and emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and external professionals
- Help create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment
You will play a key role in ensuring each learner feels safe, supported, and empowered to make progress.
Requirements
