We are currently seeking an experienced Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join our client's busy warehouse team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual to become part of a fast-paced logistics operation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse while supporting the day-to-day running of warehouse operations.
Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential, along with a strong commitment to health and safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
The role involves operating both reach and counterbalance forklift trucks to load, unload, move and store materials safely within the warehouse.
You will be responsible for handling stock carefully, ensuring goods are stored correctly and accurately within designated locations.
In addition to forklift duties, there will be an element of manual warehouse work, including lifting and moving products when required.
You will assist with shipping and receiving activities by checking incoming and outgoing goods, maintaining accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system (WMS), and supporting stock rotation, order picking and packing activities as needed.
You will also be expected to carry out daily forklift safety checks, report any maintenance issues promptly, and help maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment at all times.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating both reach and counterbalance forklift trucks within a warehouse environment and hold valid, in-date accredited licences.
A good understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control procedures and shipping and receiving processes is required.
You should possess strong organisational skills, good attention to detail and basic maths skills for counting and verifying stock.
A mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify basic equipment issues is advantageous.
As this is a physically demanding role, applicants should be comfortable with regular manual handling and lifting while working efficiently in a busy environment and always adhering to health and safety procedures
