Thrive Partners is seeking a dynamic and experienced Coach Consultant. You will be responsible for managing and developing strong relationships with Thrive’s customers to successfully deliver in-account growth through thought leadership. Additionally, you will be responsible for driving new cross-sell opportunities from customers and warm leads. The goal is to make our customers our best sales engine both within their organisation and as reference clients. The role involves coordinating with different teams, planning and budgeting, and nurturing client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and Nurture Relationships
- Facilitate customer conversations to fully understand their objectives and needs for the coaching solutions.
- Develop account strategies and plans that support the business objectives of your customers as well as Thrive’s overall company goal.
- Utilising the objectives and challenges, link them to various possible solutions.
- Propose suitable L&D Interventions.
- Develop close, productive, credible relationships/partnerships with customers and nurture them into strategic, long‑lasting accounts.
- Weave successfully through large organisations, building relationships with different touch points, and ultimately grow and develop the account potential.
- Proactively keep abreast of the latest thinking, translate, and implement effectively these to clients.
- Measure the impact of coaching and communicate this effectively to customers.
- Identify, develop, and promote best practices and leading‑edge thinking in learning and development methodologies.
- Deliver presentations and lead customer meetings for expansion opportunities.
- Develop strategic plans for both retention and growth of customer accounts.
- Handle renewals, identify upsell opportunities, and maximise customer lifetime value.
- Drive in‑account growth through expansion and cross P&L sales.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing and Product to drive for adoption and increase in utilisation.
- Communicate any potential risks that would threaten renewal to customer success.
- Partner with sales and marketing to showcase successful customer stories and use cases.
- Showcase success stories to other customers as well as internally.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in coaching, consulting, or a similar role with a focus on business development and client engagement.
- Proven experience in account management and specifically, in the HR or L&D industry.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills are necessary for fostering long‑term customer relationships.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to negotiate and manage complex sales cycles.
- Organised, methodical, yet agile and adaptable to changing priorities and requirements, comfortable with ambiguity and high drive towards self‑motivation.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑centric mindset.
- Creative thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a cross‑functional team.
